A Creamy & Rich Shrimp Pasta

A creamy pasta with shrimp, fettuccini, white wine, cream and parmesan, what can go wrong? This pasta recipe is something you can make for both lunch and dinner on either weekdays or the weekend.

It is another easy and simple recipe to follow, with only a few ingredients and within 30 minutes you will have a delicious meal in front of you and any others that you may be cooking for. It is a shrimp pasta with a white wine and cheese sauce. Personally, my favorite pasta to use for this dish is either fettuccini or pappardelle, but of course you can choose any type of pasta that you love. In this specific recipe, there are no vegetables; however, this time I decided to add some avocados on the side. Definitely a hit! If you are looking to add some vegetables into the pasta I would recommend using something like broccoli, asparagus or cherry tomatoes. Maybe top it with some fresh parsley? Considering the unique and delicious taste and quality of these small shrimps that I used in this recipe, I like to have them on the side, but if you want to add the shrimp into the sauce and mix it all, you can certainly do so as well.

Then, the perfect wine to pair with this creamy shrimp pasta would of course be a white wine. I would suggest either an oaky Chardonnay or a Chablis. If you love red wine and prefer to drink that with your shrimp pasta, go for a lighter red wine such as a Pinot Noir.

Below you will find the ingredients and instruction to make this recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients (4 people):

Shrimp (however much you desire)

400 g pasta

2-3 cups heavy cream

1 cup white wine

A few tbsp. of sour cream (to add thickness to the sauce)

1-1 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Salt

White Pepper

Instructions:

1. Peal the shrimp.

2. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.

3. If you want to add any vegetables, prepare those and start making them if you need to cook the chosen vegetables. Chop the fresh parsley if you want to add that as well.

4. In a saucepan, add heavy cream and white wine. When brought up to a boil, add the parmesan cheese. Taste with salt and white pepper.

5. Mix the pasta and sauce together. Either mix the shrimp into the pasta or place them around the edges of the plate.

7. Now enjoy this creamy and rich shrimp pasta! Cheers!
