3 Easy & Simple Dessert Recipes

Looking for some easy, simple and delicious dessert recipes? I got three delicious suggestions. Desserts are always a lovely way to end the dinner and to satisfy your sweet tooth. Below you will find some different recipes to try out.

The first one, is a classic Swedish dessert that everyone loves. It is called “kladdkaka” and translates to a chocolate cake that is soft and gooey in the middle. Serve it with whipped cream and berries of your choice and it will not disappoint.

Ingredients (about 8 pieces):

100 g butter

2 eggs

1 cup of sugar

3 tbsp. cacao

1 tsp vanilla extract

2/3 cup flour

A pinch of salt

Powdered sugar

Whipped cream

Berries

Instructions:

1. Set oven to 400 degrees.

2. Grease the cake pan with butter. Preferably a cake pan with removable edges, approximately 24 cm in diameter (for 8 pieces).

3. Melt the butter in a saucepan, allow to cool slightly.

4. Whisk together eggs and sugar. Add vanilla extract.

5. Mix cocoa, sugar, flour and salt in a bowl and stir into the egg mixture.

6. Add the melted butter and mix gently to a smooth batter and then pour the batter into the cake pan.

7. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 10-15 minutes (increase or decrease the time depending on how soft and sticky you want it).

8. Take out and let it cool. Then garnish with powdered sugar.

9. Serve with whipped cream and berries of your choice.

10. Enjoy!

Then, if you are looking for a healthier dessert option, this raspberry crumble recipe is for you. There are similar recipes that contains a lot of sugar and syrup, but I have adjusted it to make it healthier. This is my go to dessert whenever I am craving something sweet after dinner. It is also easy to make for just one person or to many. To make it even tastier, serve this warm dessert with vanilla ice cream and you will be amazed.

Ingredients:

Fresh or frozen raspberries

100 g butter

2-2 ½ cups of oats

1 ½ tbsp. honey

Pinch of salt

1 egg

Vanilla ice cream

Instructions:

1. Set oven to 425 degrees.

2. Place a coat of raspberries in an oven safe pan.

3. Melt the butter. Then, add oats, honey, egg and salt and mix together.

4. Place the crumble on top of the raspberries and place in the oven. Bake until the crumble receives a golden color.

5. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

The last dessert recipe I am sharing with you is another classic Swedish summer dessert. It is a vanilla cake topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It is a light and fluffy dessert and with a little (or a lot) of whipped cream and strawberries on top, this one is a hit!

Ingredients:

150 g butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

4 tbsp. water

1 1/3 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tbsp. vanilla extract

Whipped cream/heavy cream

Strawberries

Instructions:

1. Set oven to 350 degrees.

2. Melt the butter. Place in a bowl and mix it together with the sugar. Add the eggs and mix it well. Add the water and vanilla extract, and stir.

3. Mix the flour and baking powder together in another bowl and then add it to the batter. Mix it well until smooth.

4. Grease a cake pan, preferably one with removable edges (22 cm in diameter). Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cake is fully baked. Let it rest for 10 minutes or so and then take it out of the cake pan and let it cool.

5. When the cake is cooled, whip the heavy cream and spread a layer over the cake. Then top the cake with strawberries. Enjoy!
